Runway Nail Report: Essie for Christian Siriano Spring/Summer 2020 Collection

Essie nail polish was the go-to nail polish brand for several Spring/Summer 2020 NYFW shows this season. One of which was Christian Siriano's stunningly vibrant and colorful show.

Manicurist Julie Kandalec drew inspiration for this "painterly" French tip mani from Christian Siriano's spring/summer 2020 collection. To recreate this mani at home, follow these steps:

step 1: prep nails with one coat of here to stay base coat
step 2: use a detail brush to apply turquoise & caicos along the tip of the nail from side to side, cleaning up the shape with an angled eyeliner brush dipped in acetone
step 3: apply set in stones, stopping just before the French tip so that the silver glitter is flush against the seafoam polish
step 4: add another coat of turquoise & caicos over the tip to intensify the color
step 5: sweep a second layer of set in stones over the top and dab the brush to build the glitter
step 6: once dry, set with a layer of speedsetter top coat
step 7: finish by moisturizing the skin around nails with apricot cuticle oil

Runway Nail Report: OPI Shines at Moschino’s Spring/Summer 2019

OPI lacquer accessorized Moschino’s Spring/Summer 2019 runway collection with Brand Ambassador and celebrity nail artist, Tom Bachik creating a nail look that perfectly complemented the collections colors and playful circus inspiration. Pop colors were combined with black, white, and shimmery metallic finishes throughout for bold and dazzling manicures.

Bachik used a variety of nail lacquer shades combined with an OPI Chrome Effects Powder overlay to create the mesmerizing Moschino Spring/Summer nail looks. Deborah Lippmann Oscars 2016 Nail Report

As one of the most sought-after celebrity manicurists, legendary Hollywood manicurist Deborah Lippmann, has worked with several Oscar nominees and winners. For the 2016 Oscars, the master manicurist decorated the nails of nominees and presenters Alicia Vikander, Charlotte Rampling, and Daisy Ridley, to name a few. Here's how the nails of these three lovely ladies shone on the red carpet.

Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner, Alicia Vikander, stunned on the red carpet with a romantic look in a gorgeous strapless dusty yellow Louis Vuitton couture gown. To compliment her red carpet winning gown, Deborah opted for a nail look that was soft and ethereal, with a bit of a shimmery feel; Deborah Lippmann's Bring On The Bling, a divine diamond shimmer, was the ultimate finishing touch for Alicia’s fingers and toes.

Runway Nail Report: CND for Libertine Fall/Winter 2016

For the fourth season, CND Nails partnered with Libertine's Johnson Hartig for some eye-catching nail looks for the Libertine Fall/Winter 2016 during NYFW. To compliment the beaded eye embellishments featured on Libertine's runway looks, the team at CND hand-sculpted 180 eyes in various sizes using RETENTION+™ Liquid & Powder, then painted the eyes with SHELLAC™ Brand 14+ Day Nail Color and VINYLUX™ Weekly Polish in vibrant color combinations of red, green, blue, orange and pink, grounded in black and white accents. Inspired by Johnson Hartig’s muse of the season, a French sculptor, painter and filmmaker, both clothing and nails featured graphic elements of modernism with sculptural extravagance in vibrant and animated color. Punctuating the surrealistic designs were enameled finishes, pupils that glowed with magical beams of light and fine crystals that lit up the runway. The outcome was a wildly playful fashion collaboration, ultimately rooted in reality.
