Sarah Hyland & Kate Mara Rock Red Carpet Manicure Nails to the Emmys

One of this year's hottest accessories is nail art. This year's Emmy Awards allowed celebrities to show off some amazing Red Carpet nail art. Leading ladies Kate Mara and Sarah Hyland wore Red Carpet Manicure, an at-home LED gel polish to tonight’s Emmy Awards and opted for “negative space” looks—having a natural or bare area of nail exposed somewhere between/within the polished area instead of a two-toned manicure. And here’s how your readers can recreate both looks.

Celebrity Manicurist Kimmie Kyees used Red Carpet Manicure’s LED gel polish "Dripping in Luxury” and “White Hot” on House of Cards’ Kate Mara. “I created 15 different looks in silver and white variations and Kate opted for a chevron look,” said Kimmie. “Kate’s dress is made of lace and toile with a pattern, so I wanted to created a negative space manicure that mirrored the design on top of her dress.”

And Celebrity Manicurist Christina Aviles, used Red Carpet Manicure’s “Haute Couture,” “Runway Red” and “Camera Shy” on Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland (see above photo). “Sarah co-designed her dress with Carolina Herrera and wanted to complement her dress with burgundy nails," said Christina. Morgan Taylor 's White Hot Manicures at Carolina Herrera & Diego Binetti

White seemed to be the key color at many Spring 2014 Shows during New York Fashion Week, not just in clothing and shoes but in beauty as well - specifically nails. Morgan Taylor presented white hot manis at the Carolina Herrera and Diego Binetti for Spring 2014

CAROLINA HERRERA

At Carolina Herrera's show, where elegance reigns, Gina Edwards created a delicate, feminine look for the hands using Heaven Sent, a milky white polish, on soft oval-shaped nails.

DIEGO BINETTI

Patterns and lace played a key role at Diego Binetti by adding charm to hemlines and romanticizing the manicures. Three white nail looks were designed by Danielle Candido with the DIY nail art fan in mind:

1. Exaggerated moon manis using All White Now as the moon and In the Nude as the base accented other nails polished in In The Nude.
2. A crisp white cross-hatch mesh look gave the illusion of texture under gleaming top coat Make It Last.
3. Lace Moon Manicures added drama to fingertips with white lace from moon to tip and In The Nude at the moon.

Whimsical Nails by Morgan Taylor at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

The team from Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer once again dressed the nails of models at some of the most prestigious fashion shows during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Check out some classic and stunning nail looks below:

Fashion went to the dogs at Jen Kao where Afghan pooches inspired the long flowing hair while earthy matte skin-tone manicures and pedicures accented the ode to the American West in boxy frayed plaids and denims. Colors used were Morgan Taylor In The Nude topped with Mattes A Wrap.

MALAN BRETON

At Malan Breton, manicures inspired by sapphires set in platinum were created using Rhythm And Blues silhouetted in Chain Reaction on elegant almond-shaped nails.

YIGAL AZROUEL

Yigal Azrouël's sexy black and white collection with graphic cutouts based on optical effects was completed by a severe matte fleshtone mani trimmed with a sleek black edge. The colors used were a custom-blended foundation and Little Black Dress tips under Mattes A Wrap.

THAKOON

Thakoon presented a studied feminine silhouette in crisp whites and icy pastels, accented with light-reflecting details - crystal chains, metallic lace, and pearl straps. Pretty oval shaped manicures in Adorned in Diamonds sparkly cool pale pink caught the light.

ZAC POSEN

Zac Posen's ultra romantic, rococo ruffled gowns and voluminous floral prints in dusty pastels inspired a faded 'rose garden manicure' using Coming Up Roses at the base, an earthy pink, and fading at the tip to Polished Up, a cool pastel.

It’s always a pleasure to join the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa team backstage at New York Fashion Week. Collectively, the team always delivers amazing beauty looks that are wearable for the everyday woman. Red Carpet Manicure at NYFW - Christian Siriano Spring 2014 Collection

Celebrity manicurist and Red Carpet Manicure brand ambassador, Lisa Logan collaborated with Siriano to create a custom, color-block manicure that highlighted the theme of the collection - inspired by a recent trip to Isla Mujeres, the "Island of Women".

“After seeing the colors and prints and collaborating with Christian, I knew we had to do something that was as dramatic and powerful in the lightest way possible to match the collection itself,” said Logan. She prepped each nail with “Fake Bake” as a base color, and intricately colorblocked the nail with small boxes made with “The Perfect Pair”.  “White Hot” was layered underneath, adding an extra pop to the neon yellow.
