Creme de Mauve: Zoya Nail Lacquer Aubrey Review

Hello Sweeties,

Once again, my fave brand of polish, Zoya, finds me in love with another shade that I love to wear on it own (no artwork, at least not for the first day). Described as a full-coverage, medium mauve cream Zoya Aubrey is definitely fall-licious. Check it out:

🍂Hope Autumn finds you cozy and warm! Cheers🍂

Deborah Lippmann’s NEW Nail Lacquer Collaboration with FOX’s Empire

In celebration of the second season of FOX’s hit show, Empire, Deborah Lippmann has created the new, limited edition Deborah Lippmann X Empire Collection of three nail lacquer colors, named after songs performed by the star-studded cast. With these three colors, fans of the show can embrace the rhythm and indulge their fabulous side with these lavish new shades:

Hustle Hard - a fierce fuchsia shimmer
Power of the Empire - a gold record glitter
War of the Roses - a seductive ruby red shimmer

This collaboration carries special meaning for Deborah, a longtime member of the entertainment business with three albums to her own name, and perfectly ties in with the brand’s heritage of using music as one of its inspirational sources. She adds, “As The New York Times said, 'EMPIRE has prestige, great music and gifted actors…it is Dynasty in the age of hip hop.' What’s not to love?! It combines all my favorite passions–gorgeous beauty, killer style, and out of this world music. I am a loyal viewer and can’t wait to tune in weekly.”

Previous TV show collaborations have included HBO’s Girls and True Blood, Broadway’s Wicked, and several celebrities. The Deborah Lippmann X Empire Collection is available now and retails for $24.00 online at www.deborahLippmann.com, www.sephora.com, and www.nordstrom.com.

Nail Trend Alert: Jelly Sandwich Mani

Dahlings!!

I love this nail trend, SO much. The Jelly Sandwich. It's basically layering sheer polishes, usually with glitter or dots of a contrasting colour in between layers, to create a dinensional type effect.

One layer of red polish followed by one of glitter, topped with another layer of red gave me this:

I only did the pointer and middle finger as we all know glitter is a pain to remove!! I love this look, and look forward to trying different colours and patterns.

Polishes Used:

Maybelline Color Show - Paint The Town
Essie - Set In Stones

Moo-nicure: Cow Print Dry Brush Mani

Hello darlings,

I follow some of the best nail artists on Instagram, and often I am inspired by their amazing ideas. This next one I got from Sarah @ChalkboardNails. I have been dying to do this!! I love black and white together, and for this manicure, I paired the combo with a gorgeous bright blue.

By dry-brushing black swishes onto a white base, which has a small V taped off, you too can do this. Seriously, it's so easy. On the accent nails, I outlined the V in black to enhance them a little.

I can't wait to try this again with different pairings of colour!

Polished Used:

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Extreme Wear - White On & Black Out
Sinful Colors - Savage

Have a LOVELY day!!!

New Fall Cool: Zoya Nail Lacquer Brigitte Review

Lovelies! Hope your week is going great!

Very rarely do I sport plain nails, but this one time, I couldn't stop staring at how pretty this shade is, so I left my nails like this:

Their website describes Zoya Brigitte as a full-coverage, bombshell mauve cream. And bombshell it is. Firstly, Zoya polishes apply like a dream and this one doesn't disappoint. The final result is subtle, neat. For professionals who want a little colour but don't want to overwhelm, this is it. My favourite natural colour so far, I feel it can be worn year-round.

Have a great weekend!!!
