Alice+Olivia for MAC's Morning.After & New Nail Ring

I know its been a while but I've had a few computer issues and then camera issues but I'm back and very excited to show off my new nail rings (which I will feature in individual posts). The first one I will feature now and pair it with Alice+Olivia for MAC's Morning.After

Alice+Olivia for MAC's Morning.After is a creamy teal beauty (I added CND's Effect in Teal Sparkle over my last two nails to see the effect). I applied two coats but no top coat - as you can see Morning.After is pretty glossy on its own. And believe it or not, it maintains its gloss even after several days. And now to show you the first of my new nail rings

As you can see, the Nail ring, which I got from a company named E-Jules, is a bit more Teal (e-jules called it a neon blue but it definitely is more green than blue) than Morning.After, so I'm still searching for a color that will match exactly. This ring is adjustable and also comes in pink (my next nail ring post) and was a steal at $4.00. I wish they had a larger collection of nail rings because that's my kinda price.

Nail Jewelry - Rings

I've discovered a fantastic way to camouflage my poor nail which was badly damaged in a slight accident while it very slowly grows. Nail jewelry is certainly not a new trend but I've never used the one nail ring I have for anything other than just decoration. Turns out, Nail Rings are the perfect thing to hide an unsightly nail while it heals (or in my case - grows).

I found this little gem several years ago - too long ago to remember but this beauty came in handy while I was doing my post new year nail polish. It definitely made me realize I need more nail jewelry in my life. Maybe I'll go for a few ostentatious pieces (if I can afford it). Anyway, below is the pairing of my nail ring with Salon Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure in Pedal to the Metal, a beautiful pale lavender silver.

So I am on the hunt for more nail jewelry and plan to feature them whether I am having nail issues or not.
