Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer Backstage at Thakoon Fall 2014

Casual meets uber-chic in Thakoon's Fall 2014 collection. His signature design aesthetic was recreated with polar-fleece texture and puffer coats, using luxe knits and layering them against bold floral prints, structured tulip skirts and tailored pants. The unexpected color palate of hot pink, sapphire blue, marigold and grass green played harmoniously with navy, camel, heather gray and ballet pink.

In keeping with the earthy Seattle origin of the inspiration, Gina Edwards used Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Latte Please, a moody mushroom shade, on rounded square nails.

Pretty Little Liars' Lucy Hale Shows her Ciate London Flower Power Pedi

Spring is mere weeks away and because I am sick of winter and in the mood for some bright and cheerful colors. Though she is warm in California, I love that Pretty Little Liars's star, Lucy Hale is also anticipating spring by showing off a very pretty, floral pedicure.

I can't wait to welcome Spring with a mani and pedi that blooms, just like with Ciaté London's Flower Manicure. This custom, color-packed must-have kit is perfect for those who want to "nail" the floral trend. The Ciaté Flower Manicure allows you to experiment with naturally dried and pressed flowers, sealing each one onto the nail for a blossoming manicure or pedicure. Flower Manicure is available in two color kits, Bada Bloom - a perfectly powdery pastel blue polish with contrasting red, blue and lilac flowers and Strike A Posy - a sugary pink base with pops of blue, yellow and cream flowers.

Each kit contains: 1 Mini Paint Pot, 1 Full Size Top Coat, 3 pots of dried pressed flowers and tweezers for precision placement. Sprinkle these floral fancies across your fingertips or toenails to create a unique floral pattern or delicately place the posies on your ring finger or big toe, like Lucy Hale, for an extra special signature nail! Grab either of the Ciaté Flower Manicure™ kit for $25.00

Protect Hands & Feet During the Cold Winter Months

Sometimes we forget that winter means our skin needs extra love and while we may occasionally get a mani and pedi, sometimes it's just not enough. Skyy Hadley, celebrity manicurist and owner of As “U” Wish Nail Spa, Hoboken’s #1 spa boutique, pampers her clients with her signature Milk-Me-Away warm milk manicures and pedicures during cold winter months. The warm milk soak is a great way to re-moisturize your hands and feet during these uber skin-drying months and the sugar scrub that follows is a great way to remove extra dead skin. The milk soak and scrub is followed by a sweet almond shea butter lotion that is deeply massaged into the skin to lock in moisture.

Want to create your own moisturizing milk bath at home? Mix a few cups of warm whole milk in a bowl with vanilla essential oil followed by an exfoliating scrub to remove the dead skin and apply a shea butter lotion or cream to lock in moisture. Try the all purpose Shea Butter exfoliating sugar scrub, Coochie Kuchee Coo ($28.00 at asuwishnailspa.com)

Hands get most of the cold weather abuse, here are some ways to protect your hands. Besides always wearing gloves and avoiding excess hand washing to limit exposure to bitter cold temperatures and gusty winds that can cause your cuticles to become severely dry and ragged and even rip, you can grab the new Sally Hansen Cuticle Rehab. It is an instant soothing gel treatment that hydrates, shields and helps restore your cuticles. ($7.49 at drugstores nationwide)

Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer Backstage at Yigal Azrouel Fall 2014

Yigal Azrouel presented a moody collection where street style met feminine fabrics. Industrial prints on architectural-shaped neoprene played on proportion. Menswear detailing, enhanced super lush cashmere, knobbly-textured knits and mohair plaid.

While makeup was soft and subtle and hair was tousled in a loose low pony, the genteel element was expressed in a deep, rich claret manicure by Gina Edwards using Morgan Taylor's From Paris With Love.

Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer Backstage at Georgine Fall 2014

Love and tragedy was seen at Georgine's Fall 2014 Collection as the Shakespearean classic, Hamlet, inspired the designer's debut collection of tailored leather, asymmetrical hemlines, feminine lace and shape-hugging silhouettes.

To compliment the rich palate of plush silks and complimenting loose, voluminous curls falling down on furs in navy, black and eggplant, a shimmering aubergine manicure look from Gina Edwards was created using Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Seal the Deal.

Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer Backstage for Diego Binetti Fall 2014

Diego Binetti paid homage to Americana and street style by mixing Native American blanket coats, nature-inspired prints, oversized studded sunglasses, loose low-slung skinny pants and layer upon layer of texture. Accessorizing the hands, lead nail stylist for Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer, Danielle Candido, created four distinct manicure designs inspired by autumnal leaves and trees.

Lush, leafy textures played with shadows on some girls, while New School Nude nails were sponged around the edge with Espresso Yourself to represent hands harvesting the earth. Similar designs used Man Of The Moment, a rich red sponged with Denim Du Jour's deep blue for a darker look. The other two looks were leaf-inspired looks with a slight ombre. Using rich green Totally A-Tealing, Expresso Yourself and Little Black Dress, the effect of nature turning colors was brought to life on the nails. Using the same dark red color palette, Man Of The Moment, Expresso Yourself and Little Black Dress brought another leafy-ombre nail to the runway.

Morgan Taylor at NYFW - TOME Fall 2014 Collection

Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer’s lead Nail Stylist, Gina Edwards designed a modern, cropped nail with matte Morgan Taylor nail lacquers for TOME's deeply hued, structured collection.  Nail colors were custom blended to match each model’s skin tone for a look that was sophisticated and understated, yet very deliberate.

This manicure contrasts incredibly well with the ruby reds and gray lavender of the season. The nail was a must-have for the complete beauty look: dewey, colorless cheeks and eyelids with a sheer gloss on the lips. Hair was long yet beautifully and neatly swept back from the face. Close at the sides and just enough volume at the roots to keep the look from turning severe.

Fall Head Over Heels for Red Carpet Manicure This Valentine's Day

Whether you love or love-to-hate Valentine's Day, Red Carpet Manicure offers both flirty and non-conformist Valentine’s Day looks. For those who love all things love, try a classic heart manicure and for you anti-Valentine's Day, nothing shows that message more than a black mani.

Flirty Nail Art

1. First, apply prep and structure. Then cure.
2. Next apply three coats of “White Hot” curing after each coat.
3. Using an RCM dotting and marbling tool, create a “dot” outline in the shape of a heart using “Leading Lady”, and then cure.
4. Using shades such as “Take A Bow”, “Ooo La Liscious”, “Leading Lady”, “Red Carpet Reddy”, and “In Style”, fill in the heart with dots of various sizes. Cure after every few hearts to prevent colors from blending.
5. Add a few flakes of silver or gold glitter for depth.
6. Lastly, apply "Brilliance" and cure.

Anti-Valentine’s Day

1. First, apply prep and structure. Then cure.
2. Next apply two coats of “Black Stretch Limo” curing after each coat.
3. Lastly, apply Brilliance and cure.

Which side of the Valentine's Day spectrum do you fall on and which mani will you be rocking?
